About FT Vest Laddered Small Cap Moderate Buffer ETF

The FT Vest Laddered Small Cap Moderate Buffer ETF aims to provide investors with growth in their investment capital. It achieves this by offering exposure to the small-cap stock market while simultaneously striving to limit potential losses. The Fund primarily accomplishes this by investing nearly all its assets in a staggered portfolio of "Underlying ETFs," specifically the FT Vest U.S. Small Cap Moderate Buffer ETFs. These Underlying ETFs are designed to track the price performance of the IWM index (before accounting for fees and expenses) up to a predefined maximum return, known as an upside cap. Crucially, they also provide a protective buffer against the first 15% of any IWM index declines (again, before fees and expenses) over a set one-year timeframe. The Fund acquires shares of these Underlying ETFs solely through the secondary market, rather than participating in their direct creation or redemption.
