ViacomCBS Inc. operates as a global force in the media and entertainment industry, organizing its diverse activities into three primary divisions: TV Entertainment, Cable Networks, and Filmed Entertainment. The TV Entertainment segment is responsible for broadcasting a wide array of content, encompassing news, public affairs, sports, and general entertainment programming. This division actively acquires, develops, and schedules content for the CBS Television Network, featuring a diverse slate that includes popular primetime comedies and dramas, reality series, special events, children's shows, daytime dramas, game shows, and late-night programs. Furthermore, it produces or distributes various talk shows, court programs, game shows, and newsmagazines. This segment also owns and manages 29 broadcast television stations, oversees the 24/7 CBS Sports Network dedicated to college sports and related content, and offers both streaming and traditional cable subscription services. The Cable Networks segment focuses on generating and obtaining programming for distribution across numerous media platforms, including pay-TV cable channels, subscription streaming services, and basic cable networks. Through its Filmed Entertainment division, the company handles the entire lifecycle of motion pictures, from development and production to financing, acquisition, and global distribution. The company, which was previously known as CBS Corporation, officially adopted the name ViacomCBS Inc. in December 2019. Established in 1986, its corporate headquarters are situated in New York, New York.
